Application has been blocked from accessing graphics harware

I know this issue has been around for some time and that there are several recommended solutions.

Has anyone found a solution that prevents the error occurring during preview?

That’s an issue with your permissions on your computer, you need to grant it access, you could also run as administrator, not an issue with Luban, it’s an issue with how you have your computer set up

unfortunately it didnt seem to work

as far as I can see :frowning:

appears to be related to memory and size of obj file

@gmt how big is the file?

touch wood…

the problem seems to have gone since I installed 4.1.1 and new preview window

i was testing with max vertices set to 50k, 100k and 200k

the obj file generated are 8m, 17mb and 35mb

with decode files of 158mb, 203mb and 242mb

ps have left luban with run as administrator active

thanks for response

I ve tried to pin it down the problem by reducing the layer height from 0.16 to 0.08 which I assume would roughly double the number of layers as well as double the size of the g-code file(s)

although the preview process reaches 100% the preview is not displayed although the layer selector is (3930 layers).

all attempts to send the g-code to the workspace hang with most of the workspace blank …

as shown below … seems to me that I am reaching a g-code or memory limitation
