Announcement: Forum updates, new admin, and a big thank you

Hi everyone,

First, I want to say sorry. Over the past few years the forum did not get the steady attention it deserved, and for that the official team is truly sorry. Even so, this place stayed alive because many of you kept helping others, sharing prints and tips, and posting really deep technical write-ups. Thank you — your efforts kept the community going.

I also want to share some updates about our moderator team and the forum itself.

Welcome @Simon_Zhi ! I’ve seen you posting before, and assumed you were official. It’s good to see it in writing.

Hi @Jade , @Simon_Zhi

Since the forum update, the global ‘latest’ function is unfortunately no longer working properly.

A lot of posts are not being displayed for me, so I have to click through all the forums to find new posts. This significantly limits the usability for me. Can you take a look at what’s going wrong? Or how to get around it?

Best

Robin

For me the latest function on my mobile phone works.

I had set it as default view setting:

Let me explain the logic behind some forum category reminders:

  1. Latest: Real-time updates of all new posts in the forum. No active notifications, to avoid message bombardment.

  2. My Posts/Unseen: Posts you’ve commented on, posted yourself, or chosen to follow. When updated, check under myposts/Unseen to ensure you see only content you’re interested in.

We’ve been using it for over a month and haven’t received similar reports. Try: clearing browser cache and refreshing, switching to a newer browser, or uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile app.

I had “categories” as Default and normally switched manually to “latest” and had missing Posts there. Since i switched the default view, it is working great. Dunno what the Problem exactly was. Maybe the problem was between the chair and the keyboard.. :face_with_peeking_eye:
