Alternative filament for Snapmaker U1

Hi everyone!

I wanted to order filament from the Snapmaker store, but it’s currently preorder only.
Support told me that if I place an order now, shipping would be between March 20th and April 5th, 2026, plus 1–2 weeks for delivery — which is a really long wait :confused:

Could you please recommend:

  1. Which PLA filament brands work well with the U1 (from your experience)?

  2. Where do you usually buy good alternative filament (online stores)?

It’s already 2026, and most printers are no longer as demanding regarding consumables.
I’m in China, and I can print normally using PETG at 20 RMB/1KG.

There are many good filaments to choose from, the one’s I have been using very successfully have been the Babmu Lab filaments - PLA, PLA-Silk, PETG-HF - and using the Generic profiles in Snapmaker Orca.

I use a lot of Elegoo PLA and PETG. It works great and is also affordable.

Polymaker, Amolen, West3D, Overture, JAYO3D, MatterHackers… Look at reviews on a site like Amazon; anything there that is 4+ Stars will be just fine :sign_of_the_horns::sign_of_the_horns:

At the moment, I am using Sunlu, Elegoo and Prusament, from world-wide brands (all both PLA and PETG).
