Yeah im with you, the same here. Send videos, photos and now no answer. That’s the wrong way to deal with customers. I like tinker to, but in that price class out of the box with a non working printer. No way, thats to much. I hope I get answers and help soon. I like the printer, the rails and the build, there are much know how and knowledge in there but the build and manufacturing is worse. Cheap parts and Nozzles with too short neck for heatin up. The fastest that my J1 do was 150mm/s for exactly 3 layer and than clogg. But if it runs faster than 105 it rattle like a tank. Can’t believe that thing goes 350
Hope I will receive a answer and help soon. I send today another email in my case and let’s see what’s happen. I love the J1 but its useless if it don’t want to do for was it build.
Anyway better don’t buy more of them for my shop at the Moment. I look for the Bamboo now. See them by a friend, and it’s a Running Beast.
So regarding airducts… Did anybody try this one yet?
I tested mine yesterday and it did not perform better than J1 original =(
Made a new version that might perform better. It’s on thingiverse but have not tested the airflow yet.
I try to print yours this week but first fight the clogging.
This one’s for the 5015 don’t work well.
I will print them again too.
What, yours for the 4020 don’t work?
There are some with one 5015 new on printables but the cover needs screw inlays, may someone can remix that, that the inlays don’t needed.
I’m also looking at the ufo cooler. But i have made the copperhead fix, and think i will get problem with my new height of the nozzle. Heat inserts are pretty cheap on amazon and might be good for the structure?
When doing remixes on stl, what is the bestvprogram? Mesh mixer?
Yea it works but the airspeed seems slow. I would prefer the original fan and duct or mecanus 2x5015 version, when printing PLA.
However it is possible that my old airduct is better when printing other materials that don’t require much fan speed…
I will test the new version later today or tomorrow…
I will try your last version again if the printer want work. LoL
Think with 50 percent they will run good. I will try the Mechanikus fan duct again, may it will work. I see in my one was a infill in the air ways. Lol
I have all files from you here. LoL a bunch of Fanduct stl lol haha
Yeah hope it works too, I like the design.
I try to make a remix from the UFO thing if the owner shares the files for that. I thing the screw inlays for the duct on the cover are not good idea. Better do without them. May better for the temperature movements.
But first I have to wait for the support and hope I get my printer fixed. They don’t answer a couple of days
May be yeah. Think this inlays for the screw are not good but the rest looks nice, and the way for the Air is shorter and smaller. But if you print in mirror and place more objects and the heads come too close I think the fans will hit each other may be
I acctually made these before i3sven and friends released their pdf. And when i looked at the heat break and the distance part i went with stainless distance part instead. Right or wrong i don’t know, but IMO we have no heat transfer from the distance part to the cooler block (no connecting threads), so if in stainless it will transfer less heat to the material feeded.
I made the distance in my lathe here in Sweden
Haha yea Nissan might be better that Citroen sometimes…
On the first versions of the fanduct, I didn’t measure the nozzle position. Didn´t realise that the air needed to be aimed so precisely… So now there is another new version on thingiverse. I just started printing it. I think this one could be a winner =)
