A350 crashes into bed during auto level

My print nozzle crashes into the bed, deflects it by about 4mm, on point 9/25 then auto level calibration stops.

this problem is new its not a problem that I have had in the past. the first 8 touch points it seems the nozzle deflects the bed by about .5~ 1mm on its initial touch.

when I get this machine to print it prints good, but its a long road to get there.

I have downloaded the most recent firmware and installed (May 2022)
I have been looking in the forum but seems there are a lot of different issues and no continuance of the threads.

any help would be appreciated

Have you checked that the proximity sensor on the print head is working? You should see a red LED on the rear of the sensor illuminate as it gets close to the build plate.

The nozzle should never touch the bed at any point of calibration. It should stay 2-3mm above the bed.
Only at the last point when you manually lower the nozzle down to touch the calibration card should it even come close.
Something is wrong with the way your sensor is working or is adjusted.

Thank you for your assistance! your insight led me to adjust the sensor once I confirmed that the LED was lighting in proximity to metal as per another thread! I happens that I just was clearing a block in my hot end with the print head removed I suspect that I inadvertently moved the sensor away from proper adjustment whilst handling the unit. some adjustments to get the nozzle / sensor gap to the specified 1mm gap has the printer working again as it should! Another good learning!
