Is there a way through luban to tell wether a file needs breakaway filament or not fir 3d printing? Also is there a spot or table of content, that tells what some of the different settings are and do in luban?
Hey, welcome to the community
.
Have a look here for starting up:
Is there a specific way you can tell if a file requires breakaway or not?
Using supports will always have some texture issues. Breakaway filament causes fewer surface problems than non-breakaway, but there will still be some undesirable texture.
It’s really up to you, and what you want out of the print. There are plenty of prints I’ve done that I don’t care about the surface texture at all. Some prints that I’m planning to sand anyway, so extra roughness will be taken care of.
I guess what I’m asking is there is not a button in luban to turn on and off breakaway parts is there?
Yes, it’s called ‘support’, that’s what you need to look for in the settings.
Breakaway filament is just one type of support and it appears is not specifically relevant to your question.
