#3 spool holder/feeder tension/stuck issues

I have 3 of these printers (U1) including an early production model and 2 regular production versions, all bought between April and June 2026. On the newest 2 machines I’ve starting to have issues with the feeder from the #3 spool. The #3 side holder does have above average resistance to rolling, though not enough I would think it would cause it to stop the feeder. However, both those machines now occasionally pause when feeding off that roll and I have to continuously resume the print, which works ok but keeps hanging up. I’ve removed both and applied a light machine oil inside and that seems to have helped with it rolling smoothly but prints continue to stop with a resume required. It’s almost like the side feeder is wearing out. I’ve run these machines every day since purchase for these last few months.

Is there some sort of maintenance for the automatic feeders on the sides or for the toolhead feeder that I’ve missed or you recommend? I’m not having the issue with any of the other feeders on the other machines and #3 on the first printer hasn’t had this issue yet even though it’s the OG printer.

Hi,have you tried this guide:

If possible, it is also suggested to swap the #3 with #4 spool.

If the issue always followed the same spool, I think you could consider summitting a support ticket:
