I recently built a new pc, had to reinstall all my software.
I downloaded the recent Luban and when i Load it its a blank screen.
The only options i can click, is the “File - View - Window” at the top left and the close minimize buttons on the top right.
I tried “force reload” and that did nothing. Also tried to load a file and the whole screen stays blank.
I did a reinstall of the software and still have the same issue even after a restart.
I also tried to install 3.13 and im having the same issue.
I went into the registry and deleted what i could from Snapmaker before doing a reinstall, and restarting in between.
Edit: I opened Luban and i was able to click on “toggle developer tools”
I got what seems different errors

Hi, I have the same problem, on a win7 pc, where Luban3.13.0 was running until the other day, after updating to v.3.14.0, there is no way to start it, even with the browser. Failed attempts to roll everything back to previous versions. The only one that seems to work graphically is Snapmakerjs.
Anyone have the solution?
We suspect that this problem may be caused by the configuration file of the software. You can find the corresponding configuration file, and then back it up. Delete the files under that path and try to restart the software to check if the problem is solved.
If Snapmaker Luban can load successfully, please send me the configuration file folder. If not, we will try other methods.
Delete ‘Snapmaker Luban’ config directory and restart the ‘Luban’ may solve the problem.
On macOs: cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/snapmaker-luban rm -rf Config/
On Windows: Delete the folder C:\Users[Your Windows User Profile]\AppData\Roaming\snapmaker-luban
I deleted that folder and restarted Luban to no avail. Please keep in mind i’m trying with version 3.13.1.
I also tried uninstalling Luban with Revo, even deleting registry keys.
Reinstall didn’t work.
I repeated the steps with the latest version of Luban 3.14.0 and I had the same results.
I’m not stuck, as I can still open Luban through the browser and use the machine.
But this is a fresh windows install, theoretically it should work.
Does Luban have a program that it is dependent on? like Microsoft visual C++ for example? That I could be missing since its a fresh install?
From your log, it seems like Luban unable to create WebGL context to display the 3D scene.
As https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js/issues/4927 suggested it may relate to graphics card or its driver, and sometimes it may be due to program faults.
If you can open Luban through browser, could you visit chrome://gpu/ through browser to check WebGL config?
To compare with WebGL status of Luban application, open Developer Tools, in console tab, type require('electron').remote.app.getGPUFeatureStatus()

GpuProcessHost: The info collection GPU process exited normally. Everything is okay.
Unfortunately with the current state of things with graphic cards, I’m stuck with my Geforce 8800 GTS 512 lol This could be the problem. I do not have onboard video on this motherboard.
I do have a gtx 660 in another work pc i can try and swap out to test.
Will report if it changes anything.
As for comparing with Luban, I don’t think i’m following you correctly because i can’t find a location to enter that string and give me the results expected.
I opened Luban, clicked on “view” then “toggle developer tools”. Console is chosen by default with the errors I posted in earlier posts. I tried to “run command” with that string, but it didnt do anything. I’ll be honest, i dont understand much on this end of software lol.
If you can guide me that would be great.
I appreciate the time both of you are putting on this… And @Edwin , no worries. Nothings perfect and things need tweaking sometimes that’s all.
I did replace the pc actually. I originally had a laptop in my office garage running the 3d printer. It has a 960m for graphics.
I replaced it with a desktop, but this desktop does not have onboard video, so i had to find an old card to get some video.
I will swap out the 8800 gts in this pc (the one meant to run the 3d printer) for my GTX 660 thats in my pc that runs my plotter ( i have a sign and screen printing shop) to see if anything changes and report back.
As for the string… I actually thought about it haha! Didn’t seem like equire made sense, but it was past 2 am and my brain wasn’t functioning properly. Not to mention with a newborn lol
Unfortunately, I ran that string and got a syntax error. I realized the end of the string also has a “,” in the first post, and the second post is a '… But your screenshot thankfully shows ; to finish the string.
I installed my GTX 660 and Launched Luban 3.14 and it loaded normally.
So i can confirm it has something to do with the graphics card I was using (8800 GTS).
This might help others as well.
Although we did find a solution to my issue, it is not really a fix.
If you guys need me to test “fixes” with this card, let me know i’d be happy to help.
Hi @TheDuke , Thank you for your patience and kind help on troubleshooting this issue. Our software developer, @parachvte , helped us out and I think he will dig this issue further. We will try to fix this issue in the coming version of Snapmaker Luban.
