With the 3DP module why is the holder tube, the rod that supports the filament reel, 10mm shorter than the one supplied with the original single nozzle unit?
I ask because a full 1kg reel of filamant could, in theory, fall off!

Have asked myself the same question when I received the unit - no idea. Most 1 kg fit well, but some manufacturers have broader spools. I was in the lucky position that I typically had at least one spool that fitted the shorter rod, so the broader spool went to the longer rod.
After a bit of reluctance, I finally got myself filament dryers, and now print from them, so no longer an issue.
