10W Laser "Over" Engraves at Start and Stop of Line Engrave

Hi
I have an Issue with my 10W Laser on my Snapmaker 2.0 A350. When I am Line Fill engraving the Starting and Endpoint of on Line is significantly over engraved. As if the Laser when it starts/stops shortly drives to 100% Intensity.

I attached a Picture and you can clearly see in-between the letters (marked green) everything is fine but at the other edges (Red) the intensity was too high. Any Help is appreciated. Thanks

Used software? Luban, Lightburn or others.

The laser don’t stop on the point the linear must go the other way. The green locations the laser stops while the linears go in the same way to the next point.

In Lightburn You can use overscan to compensate this.

I don’t know that Luban have the same feature.

I used Luban. That it has something to do with the change in direction was also my guess. I tried the overscan setting in Luban with the same result.i set it to 2.5% as suggested in LightBurn.
I have been wanting to set up LightBurn for a while and have started setting it up but have not had the opportunity to test it and see if I get a better result.

What speed are you going? Try slower or faster, and compare the results.

Personally I haven’t played around with it but here is a hint how far you could go:

I think if you search for overscan in the forum you will get more results.

Thank you this thread was very helpful already. I will test the Overscanning Settings in Luban a little more until I get Lightburn running.

So setting Lubans overscan to 100% solved the issue.

Thanks for the help again. I additionally found this Discussion in the Lightburn forum that discusses the issue as well. I’ll leave a link here incase anyone stumbles across this issue in the future again. https://forum.lightburnsoftware.com/t/snapmaker-2-0-edges-burn-darker-on-fill-regardless-of-overscan-setting-and-fast-whitespace-scan-setting/59895
