10w Laser etches on run boundary

I am engraving some business cards and when i run boundary, it engraves the material. I have tried anodized and painted aluminum and painted brass and it has done the same thing each time. Is there a way to adjust this?

I am using the Artisan with a 10W laser.

This sounds like a problem you need to report to Snapmaker.

I did several types of engraving so far also on sensitive materials and never had this issues while running boundary check.

There is a setting on the touchscreen about the laser strength while setting the work origin, maybe it’s for the boundary too.
This could be set from 1 to 3 percent or so.

Where should this be :flushed:? Haven’t seen it so far, would be interesting.

Have no Artisan but it is there:

But this i read as it only fixes a problem for a non visible laser point in job preparation:

" * In this update, you can use Laser Shot Output Power Settings for fixing the 10W Laser Module which did not show laser indicator in Laser Job Preparation"

I will check the setting in one of my next jobs.
