Hi there,

so I just assembled the enclosure and setup the air purifier.
Wanted to do a test engraving on the included basswood.

The air that comes out of the air purifier still smells burned.

Is this normal?

I expected the air to not smell at all.

I don’t have an air purifier but I would expect that some smell would persist.

BTW I didn’t know burning bras was still a thing…ah! the '60s.

Yes, the filter is designed to remove the particulate matter from the smoke but the smell will still be there. My homemade filter does the same thing, the only option to have no smell would be to vent the hose to the outside.
