I’m looking at switching to the laser module, but was going to first print a ventilation system (attach the blower and sucker from a cheapo shopvac to the laser head to provide a constant air flow over the cutting beam so ablation stays high), but while looking at the head, I see this odd black square on the top. From the looks of the 1600MW head purchasable on the store, it’s no longer a thing, but I opened mine up and it’s apparently wired into the inner electronics, so it’s doing something.
Does anyone have any idea what this thing is?
