Welke materialen snijden met de 40w laser

Welke materialen en hoe dik kan ik snijden met de 40w laser.
Het gaat mij er om of ik 2mm aluminium kan snijden.
Vast bedankt voor elke inbreng

I do not think that the 40W laser can cut 2mm Aluminium. Engraving: I suppose yes, but cutting? No chance…

Shop page says:

EDIT: Out of curiosity I looked a bit around how much power you need to cut metal - we are talking 1 kW plus…

Thanks for looking up

Do you have the settings to engrave ss304 so I can “if it is possible” make different colors.

I think this is an excellent starting point: https://support.snapmaker.com/hc/en-us/articles/22422547811351-Color-Laser-Marking-on-Stainless-Steel-Using-the-Snapmaker-Ray-40W-Laser-Module-Part-1

Is the RAY 40w Laser the same laser as the one used with the A350 2.0?

Yeah. Same module.

Do you also know if Lightburn license is €107,95/year ore only once incl. updates It’s just for hobby
The tutorial from Hauke is nice but only workable with Lightyear

They increased the licensing prices considerably, that’s true. Still, if you’re willing to spend a few hundred bucks for the laser, plus 1000+ for the machine - it seems like a bargain  But the tutorial should be doable in Luban - it would just be not that easy… And most recent Luban also includes auto-generated test patterns, that should help!

you are right, but lightburn asks for an amount of 107.95 eu every year and than you still have a hobby license. I’am not a professional and it is for personal use. Thats why I don’t want to pay for it.

Few quotes from lightburn page (source: How the LightBurn license works – LightBurn Software):

How the LightBurn license works
The short version:
The license is perpetual (aka forever)

Is it a subscription? No. You pay once, the software will work forever as long as you have your license key.

Does the license expire? The license key has an expiry date - a year from when you first activate it. When it “expires,” it’s still valid,

So i think that should not be an issue for a private user who wants to use a professional tool.
