Hi everyone, I just received the cover for my U1—it’s great—but I’m running into a problem: it won’t stay in place on the machine. The four silicone mounts aren’t holding it; even when I press the cover’s four tabs firmly into the mounts, they pop right back out—there’s absolutely no grip! Any suggestions? I printed my own, but I don’t think alot of people apart from the testers have them yet, I would suggest raising a support ticket will be the best/fastest way to get help:

My Beta Cover is near perfect and I even cut a little slot for the Panda Breath power cable. Can you post pictures or a video link?
I have the same problem!
I can slide the 4 pins of the cover inside the silicon plugs in the 4 corners. I have to put a decent pressure on the cover to slide them fully down. When I let it loose, the cover pushes itself upwards again. It slides so high that it is not in the silicon plugs anymore. With some force from the side, I can move the top cover to the left/right without a problem.
I am not sure but maybe it is the gasket? The gasket is like 5mm high. When I fully insert the top cover in the silicon plugs, the gasket is compressed to like 1mm. When I stop pushing the top cover down, the gasket expands again and pushes the top cover up. That is my theory.

Wonder if they changed something between the beta and final units, hopefully someone didn’t accidentally alter the size before it was sent for production!!!
It’s exactly the same phenomenon as yours!
So, I opened a ticket and already got a response from Snapmaker (just as fast as ever!) asking me to take photos and measure the lid and the machine. Stay tuned!

I pushed the top cover down and then let it loose. It is always going up again. Hopefully everyone can see now what I mean
Erm… aren’t those rubber caps supposed to be removed? They’re only covers over screws. Is that all there is to hold the top cover on?
If that’s how it is supposed to be, I suggest removing the caps, fitting them to the cover, then fitting the cover.
I tried it, but it didn’t work. They don’t seal the hood at all. It rather seems to me that the inner diameter of the caps is too small relative to the holes in the hood. I’m going to model a button by adjusting the diameters and 3D print it in TPU to test.
I won’t know until my top cover arrives.
Booklet says (6.4) Align the top cover with the silcone-buffered mounting holes on top of the printer. Press evenly downwards.
Didn’t the beta trials pick this up?!
I can confirm the issue on my cover as well — you push it down, it pushes itself back up again and then starts to move around while printing. 
I also added 4 kg of weight on top of the cover and left it for >48 h, hoping this would compress the seals a bit, but it didn’t change anything.
We waited over a year for this???
