I think it makes more sense to load file order in the print screen from recently uploaded. I print “my swatch” gcode frequently and its a bummer to scroll through 50 files to find it. I believe this used to not be the case.
I re-transfer the file over from luban whenever i change materials so it should be on the top when i do that imo.
I dont bother renaming the file everytime, because its just a redo of the gcode.
Perhaps, but doesnt really solve my request.
The printer used to allow you to execute a newly uploaded job with one button. It no longer does. At least let me hit the start button and put the newest file on top is all im asking for.
Yeah, this annoys me too. It used to say “gcode loaded successfully, would you like to start the job now?” But now it just goes to the Home Screen and you have to navigate there.
if it is a new file name, it will put it on top, but if you are overwriting a file already existing, you have to scroll to the first time you loaded it.
I just found easier workaround, you can hit the menu and hit sort by date, and for some reason it will sort them properly.
it doesnt persist between prints and goes back to the previous mis-sort, but at least its less buttons.
so it sorts by date, unless the file is overwritten, in which case it puts the replaced file on top of the original file… unless you sort it again, in which case it will put the actual new file on top until the print is over.
Agreed, lack of sort order persistence is ANNOYING to say the least.
