Thermal images of the build plate

These are with the plate at 80C, for folks that are wondering how even the heating is.
Edges are significantly cooler as one would expect with a centered heating element.
The center area is pretty big and consistent though, so the best even heating can be achieved printing in the center 200x200mm area.
I checked several times after 45minutes of heating, and picked the average readings.
I’ll do some more during a long print, and check extruder, and rails, at some point when there is time.

I see that you have the enclosure. Does it produce the same numbers without the enclosure (or open enclosure)?

Nice information for the users. thank you.

Probably the same since it is just the plate and not a 2-day enclosed print.
The Bed will behave like it does, the enclosure helps maintain the overall temperature of the print during the longer print times.
Ill check next time I have a long print running.

Great post thankyou!

Very interesting information ! Thank you for the time and effort behind these images !
