Splitting Mesh (Fusion 360, Blender, Luban)

I’m trying to split a mesh of the Statue of Liberty into three separate meshes so I can print them in different colors. I’ve tried doing it in Blender and Fusion 360 but the examples are always on simple models. This one has many more facets and I’m not sure how to do it. Can anyone help?

Thanks
Tim

I think maybe meshmixer, Netfabb or similar program would be best for this type of thing…

But if you want to use Blender: You add a cube to your scene were you already have the stl file imported. move it so it overlaps the stl file and use the boolean modifier to split it using the cube as a tool…

Maybe create connectors/plugs in fusion, export them to your blender scene and performs a few more booleans.

Oh maybe i got that wrong. I thaught you were going to glue them together =) If it’s just for applying different colors to different parts of the object, no need for connectors/plugs…
