Hello - I am using a mesh generated from Fusion 360 - and when importing it into Luban - it looks perfect. However when I create the G-Code - I get very strange lines going through the bore and also a top surface is missing.
I have screenshots of both the mesh and G-Code generated below. This is exactly how it was printed.
Ok, I think probably something wrong with the mesh, like inverted normals probably and/or hole(s). You can probably fix it by running the stl through meshmixer or any other similar program.
Or you can just use mcmaster import function instead
Hi thanks again - but I am not printing a part that is in McMaster in general. Seems a fundamental issue with Fusion 360 - as i have just created a cube with a bore through it - and still the top surface is missing.
I will try to import a non-Fusion file and see what happens.
hmmm - it seems any file I try to import - even from thingyverse is not converting to G-Code well - All top layers are missing.
This whistle should have a top surface. Can’t seem to print anything at the moment.
What about the settings top thickness and top layers. Maybe they are set to 0? What happends in Luban if you load a default profile and slice it again?
But yes, using Cura from now on is probably a good choice =)
