Issues with Artisan (3-in-1) and 2w laser

Hello,

I am a happy owner of an Artisan 3-in-1.

The tests and initial projects went well with 3D printing and the 40W laser, but recently I tackled the 2W laser, and things have become complicated…

When I configure Luban (on PC) “properly” (machine settings = Artisan / Laser 2W), I get no engraving (the machine moves as if it is engraving, the progress status in the workspace shows an engraving in progress, but at the end of the process, nothing is engraved…). I had to select another machine (Snapmaker 2.0) and acknowledge an alert message about a machine/module inconsistency to manage to print the test medallion (metal tag) and even a few custom medals, but very laboriously…

Today, I switched to Mac (M2 processor) with the recommended Luban version (4.15.0-arm64), and now I can’t even generate the G-code…

Has anyone else experienced this kind of issue? Should I bring out my old PC?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You might try to export GCode and run it directly from the machine.

Which material do you try to engrave?

Thank you for your feedback

On Mac, I’m stopped before even generating the G-code…

For now, I’m just working with medallions made of aluminum or stainless steel… With the PC, I managed to engrave the medallion (metal tag) from the case library and a few others by slightly adjusting the settings or the text, but very quickly, I end up with a blank medallion!! Very frustrating!
