Snapmaker Ray axis Problem

I have a problem with my “Snapmaker Ray.”
It has been working perfectly until recently, but now it has the issue shown in the picture.

I suspect it’s a mechanical problem with the X-axis module.
The X-axis belt is properly tensioned, and nothing seems to be loose.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Too high speeds or acceleration could cause loosing steps. May you try a slower engraving speed?

Anyway, open a ticket:

I don’t believe the speed is the issue; it was only at 7 mm/sec.

What was your slicer you used? Does it even occur if you use Luban?

Let’s wait for other users or let us know what support says, please

Hi, I’ve always used Lightburn, and it’s never caused any problems so far.

I’ve never used Luban before.

But I have an idea where the problem might be coming from.

There’s a small timing belt that transfers the movement of the stepper motor to the actual conveyor belt. I suspect that either the gear on the motor shaft or the gear connected to the conveyor frame might be slightly loose, which means the individual steps of the motor in the X-direction aren’t being fully transferred to the conveyor belt.

Does anyone know a guide on how to remove the motor from the linear axis?

Unfortunately I can’t find any motor replacement in the wiki, not ray and artisan not either.

If you can’t figure it out, open a support request.

Please share the the information here
