Snapmaker Calibration: Linear Advanced Tuning Questions

Several people report having performed the Linear Advance tuning for the snapmaker however when I created the gcode. It didnt print the pattern for some reason. For those that have performed the tuning what settings did you use in the Marlin Linear Advance Pattern Generator or did you perform the tuning some other way?

Mostly default settings worked for me in the past. I haven’t run this one but I just recreated it at least pretty close to what I had.

Most people end up with a value around 0.07, you could use that as a starting value and go by small values. Here it goes from 0 to 0.3 by 0.03 steps.

I commented out the disable motors at the end. There are likely other tweaks you could do, like commenting out the acceleration setting in the preparation section.

I’ll bet my problem was not enabling Origin Bed Center = true

I went to try it and the brand new filament I got from snapmaker was super brittle and ended up clogging my head. That was a first for me so I ordered a cleaning kit.

Brittle filament often means damp filament - try baking it to try to drive the moisture out.

SM filament has been found to be inconsistent in quality.
It used to be even worse, but then they changed suppliers (supposedly) and it has seemed to improve. But still so many other better choices for filament out there. Not like SM filament is a bargain.
