Thanks, I had assumed the quick service in providing the replacement was a result of having been given erroneous advice to unplug while running. Looks like it sorted the intermittent problem too.
I wonder if @loranger , @darien , @JeremyS & @kellerbaum have also got to the bottom of this.
@SimonChan Could you please remove the advice to “or unplug the air pump during cutting work”.
One tends to read this and then go off and try it without reading further.
I contacted support who had me carry out a few manipulations which enabled them to conclude that the pump had failed.
It was replaced and everything is working perfectly.
Well, I can’t run the job remotely from Luban, I no longer have a positioning webcam, I have to calibrate by hand for each job without the precision that would allow me to run several jobs from the same point of origin or that would allow me to do double-sided printing, but at least the black halos have disappeared.
I received a replacement unit after documenting the behavior of my malfunctioning air assist pump and performing some diagnostic steps.
Just to underline this. There seems to have been an issue with the 24DC to AC converter that is the small black box on the pump power line. Snapmaker replaced my pump and all is working well now. So if yours is mis-behavng get Snapmaker to replace it.
