Slice and compare multi-color prints: U1 vs Others

Thanks everyone for keeping the slicing showcase going!
Shoutout to the latest 10 contributors (according to the post date): @Wombley @Shelby @ThomasDN @unlucio @Marko @nik4223 @Ash (post twice) @Tjomme @nik4223

We hit another 10-post milestone — so this time we’ve got 2 winners!
Big congrats to @ThomasDN and @Tjomme !
Each of you will receive a spool of Snapmaker PLA/PETG. Please check your PMs for details.

Let’s keep these slicing result comparison coming. The next draw will unlock when there’re another 5 new contributors.

Update:
To encourage more people to join in, we’re now limiting the draw to one entry per person. This time, one contributor happened to post twice, and that’s fine — we honored it for this draw. Going forward, each person can only enter once.

Ahhahahah, showing the wheel is awesome!

Also, if it comes again please disqualify me. It’s nice to be included, but I just wanted to help the team reach a drawing. It feels greedy to actually enter when I’m sitting here testing the thing everyone’s eagerly waiting for.

Woohoo! Free is my favourite colour! Thanks a lot!

Limiting the draw to one per person is completely fair. But we just might keep posting examples of how great the U1 looks in comparison to other brands! (Unless you really don’t want us to.)

Here’s what I got with one 2-color Greek Amphora Vase (version with 150% scale, it’s a tall print):

  • U1: 13h17min, 29.82g tower

  • Bambu P1S with the E3D HF Nozzle: 1d21h55min, 478.89g flushed + 112.76g tower

  • Model: Greek Amphora

  • Model creator: Surreal Sonicus Studios

  • U1 Saving: approx. 32.6 hours and 570.21 grams of filament

  • In total, U1 takes only 29% of the time and uses only 30% as much filament (only 5% as much waste!)

Nike Air Jordan shoe: https://makerworld.com/en/models/45917-nike-air-jordan-1-closed-mesh?from=recommend#profileId-165737

PLA with PETG inerface to allow easy removal from the build plate. i made no changes to the 3mf in Bambu and matched the settings in Orca

The A1 will take 2 days and 18 hours and use alomst 1.2KG of filament for a 542g print

The U1 will take 1day and 3 hours and use 662g of filament <3
