Silicone socks for all-metal hotend

Does anyone has a source to procure spare silicone socks for the all-metal hotend?

Can’t find them on the Snapmaker store.

I’m located in Europe.

Thanks in advance.

support@snapmaker.com should be able to help you. I’ve gotten several parts from them. Oddly, the socks for the dual extrusion module for the 2.0 and Artisan machines are on the US store.

next best solution would be to model your own silicon sock and cast it with a heat resistant silicon. working on that right now since revo never made a sock for their high temp heat blocks and the j1 S blower fan cools my nozzles by 15 degrees when it starts

I’ve done that for another printer. High-temp RTV silicone, available from most any hardware store, works quite well. It’s usually labeled as gasket maker.

You will need a vacuum chamber for that, right?

No, just a 3D-printed mold. RTV vulcanizes at room temperature, so it doesn’t require any special environment.

I know it does, I did some experiments myself once. I was referring to the air bubbles that normally will be in the silicone. In a vacuum chamber those will be sucked out to get a smooth homogenous part.

I didn’t have any issues with air bubbles in my one successful attempt.
