I keep getting the “Retraction Distance set for the print exceeds …” error when trying to print. i have checked all of the places i know to make sure that either retraction is turned off or within the recommended 2-5mm (right now Enable Retraction is turned off for all). I have checked the values for each of the filaments i am using, and the main settings when generating the gcode, but i keep getting this error when i try and print. the prints go great for a bit, but when it starts needing to use the second filament it clogs. i expect because somewhere the retraction is actually to high.
where are all of the settings for retraction besides for the individual filaments in the Materials tab, and in the full settings when generating the gcode?
i found the problem. the material base setting was corrupt. i created another material default and i didn’t get the error. i am not sure how it got corrupt, but all of the different colors and changes i did from that original default from Luban all behaved the same. i did find one that seemed to behave and i cloned that one to see if it behaved after that and it did.
