Relief carving of a lizard sitting on a branch

I was attempting to add perspective using gradients to lighten the face of the lizard and those leaves and branch on the bottom and left. I tried to darken darken the gradient for the body and branches, leaves above and to the right. Finally the center curl of the tail is lighter to give the impression it was closer to the viewer than the outer ring back to the body. There was a white line all the way around the drawing that I could not easily get rid of and the bit I used was getting dull. Turned out a little rougher than I hoped.

All done with gimp and Luban 200mm x 200mm hangable wood placard Art work is not mine, if anyone recognizes it and wants it taken down let me know. Not trying to steal anyone’s artwork. I do like it, and the little tribal art details are cool.
