Hello everyone, Hello to the entire Snapmaker team. Who could tell me why there is a time difference between the same print with similar parameters between Snapmaker Luban and Snapmaker Orca? I can’t find why? Thank you and have a good week everyone. Stephane
Time estimates in Slicers are notoriously difficult. In order to be accurate, the slicer not only needs to now about model/slicing properties, but also about acceleration/decceleration values of the printer, jerk settings etc. in order to simulate the movement of the printer. Depending on how detailed the printer profile in the slicer is, and how good the simulation matches reality, you may get hugely different estimates.
My recommendation: Do a few prints and get a feeling about the typical deviation from slicer estimate vs. reality and factor this in in your mind.
Lubans estimations are much more accurate for me. Last print Orca told me 3,5h and printed 6. Luban is also very optimistic, but not that hard (for me).
