Because the right extruder on the already replaced SHAC-rail got a remarkable play after three months again, I replaced the SHAC-rail now by the recommended HIWIN-rail.
But I must say, that I’m completely disappointed by the result. Of course, the slider slides like a charm with no resistance and no scratching like the SHAC but now both extruders got the same play like the right extruder before. I’m not sure if the bought parts are genuine or clones only. I’ll watch the next prints and report the results.
I contacted the seller and try to rescind this order.
Seems not to be easy because the seller argues this parts to be genuine and I should contact the HIWIN support here in Germany.
I suppose they could in theory be genuine but without preload (probably not). I would open a dispute and refer to the fact that the seller has advertised them as voron linnear guides. Therefore they should have preload, wich they don’t.
Aliexpress accepted the return request. The assembly goes on the way back tomorrow.
Snapmaker will send me a new assemly after a longer dispute. I hope that this assembly will now last a bit longer after decreasing the acceleration limit settings in the slicer by the factor of 10.
I mounted the new X-rail assembly from Snapmaker today. The sliders are running remarkable stiffer than the HIWIN sliders and only the right extruder has a little (but really little) tilting play in Y direction now.
I’ll see, how long this assembly now will last with the reduced acceleration limits.
