[Official] Ready to MAKE for 3D printing

If you don’t know what to make, come here and you will find good or interesting 3D models for printing. We’ll regularly upload 3D models that have been tested by us and can help you gain experience about how to print different kinds of models.
Also, you can check this article for 33 Best Sites for Free 3D Printer Models & STL Files to 3D Print at https://all3dp.com/1/free-stl-files-3d-printer-models-3d-print-files-stl-download/. Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/) is the most used and recommended. Finding a lovely model to start practising is not a headache anymore.

Here is the model we use to test the leveling of the heated bed. After calibration and before you start to print something you want, use this file to test the leveling first. Please use the Normal Print mode. It will be added to the example models folder in Snapmaker3D in the next version as well.

I found another great simple 3D tool to make from the Instructables web site, a Tape Measuring Tool. If you signup, you can download the instructions. Watch the video https://www.instructables.com/id/Tape-Measuring-Tool/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email

Noah, I can’t use “Fast Print” for the Test.STL file because it says “The thickness of model is less than 1 layer.”

Hi Relster

Because “Fast Print” will print in 0.2mm per layer, and the Test.STL is 0.2mm high, so it can’t print. You may use normal Print to preview and test.

Enjoy and have fun.

Hi Doug

I have been having a heck of a time trying to discover the reason why the USB connection to the computer will not allow communication. My computer has 3 USB ports, 2 of them 3.0 and 1-2.0. I did find that the computer will only state that a connection has been made using the 2.0 port, however, the SnapMaker app will not connect. Does anyone have any troubleshooting advice or info on how the port should be configured.
Thank you,

I would be careful using this model, I had a hell of a time scraping the remains of the heated bed.

Download does not work, just opens a page that has the below on it.

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Where is this example models folder in Snapmaker Luban?

Hi StumbleRunner, the Snap3D is replaced by the Snapmaker Luban, and you can find its download here.
And a example model folder is planned. :slightly_smiling_face:
