Ohh dang, thats a very useful diagram. Thanks for sharing that.
I like the controlled point at the nozzle via that chute like that, i know the old one had it but it didnt work.
It does work pretty good. Is it as good as the fan mod? Maybe? I think the fan mod had the air blowing a bit incorrectly, but it did work pretty well. I think that some overhangs are better on it than this regardless, but the new design is much better than the original and dare i say the issue is fixed?
Very interested to hear other peoples opinions on this topic who have the new print head and know about this stuff.
You could always block off the bottom chute if the warping on abs or petg seems to be causing an issue yeah? would theoretically just increase the flow on the side output instead
The fan mod was blowing too low for me either - youâll find an updated design that works very satisfactory for me in the regarding thread: 3DP Part Cooling Fan 5015 Replacement - #192 by Hauke
What I would like to know from those that have the new printhead already: is the feeder cog wheel detachable from the stepper motor axis? The old one is basically the stepper axis itself, and if it gets worn out by abrasive filament, youâd need to replace the whole stepper motor. I hope they have learned from that and now offer a replacable cog wheelâŠ
Contact support. I ordered one after a brief email exchange, and the redesigned one is what arrived (itâs also what shipped with my A350 earlier this year). Requires a paypal account.
nope they send me regular updates, i donât need it yet, its free shipping, i can wait, but if i needed something fast i would order directly from snapmaker not B&H. Got this notification just today
