Material Test Origin Mode

I am trying the material test for the first time on my 2W IR laser and it seems as though the Material Test always generates code for the middle of the workspace, ignoring the settings in “Job Setup.”

My preferred workflow is always to have the job origin be the lower left of the project, not the baseplate. This way I can position the lower lefthand corner where I want it and then run my job with a high degree of confidence that things will layout correctly.

Looking at the gcode, it is clear that the coordinates generated are absolute positioning and in the center of the plate. So it seems that whoever coded this feature ignored the job setup.

Can anyone confirm? Is this is known issue? Is snapmaker going to fix this?

To make matters worse, I can’t seem to move the entire generated grid down to 0,0 as a group, or by editing the coordinate box. Luban either crashes, or only moves some of the objects.

I appreciate them investing time in adding useful features to the software. But it seems as if their testing process is rather incomplete.
