The strips don’t need lubrication. Just wipe them off. While you can lubricate them and some people do, you’re more likely to just attract dust and have it stick to them. -S

Thanks, that is useful. It doesn’t specifically mention the steel strips for lubrication, that’s more for the internals. I guess I can use the same stuff.
