Keep in mind, once you get dithered line mode working, it’s extremely faster than the old dot filed. None of the stuttery stop and go. It’ll just sweep back and forth, pulsing the laser on and off as needed.
Thank you, great explanation. This post answered my questions and my issue with the laser staying on. Just upgraded to V1.18. Hoping to resolve the issues with the laser. Seems like the firmware update fixed the issue on your end. I’m about to try mine.
Hi. I recently received Snapmaker Rey. As the software I am using is Lightburn, To tell you the truth, I would return the machine If not the Lightburn. The LUBAN, with all the steps, changing screens, and the physical button to press to get the action, is just too much to stomach. The physical button sooner or later is going to have some issues, and the time wasted on all the dancing around is not worth it. So light-burn it is. When it comes to the machine itself, I wonder why the 40W module gives less power than the 20W module of Atomstack x40 (I returned because of technical issues). I am still waiting for the Snapmaker to respond. I was able to cut through 10mm basswood plywood at 5mm/s with full power. 10mm/s is too weak. CO2 with 40W has more power
