Out of sheer laziness, I clicked “print” in Fluidd instead of walking into another room and starting the print on the U1 control panel. If I had used the control panel, the U1 would have picked up that I wanted black PETG for the model and white PLA for support, and automatically assigned the appropriate tool-heads.
From Fluidd, it just used T0 and T1 without mapping them.

Hi, I have checked with the firmware development team, and this is indeed a known behavioural limitation in the current official firmware. The official Moonraker API does not integrate this U1‑specific pre‑processing logic for automatic filament mapping.
Our development team has added this request to the feature backlog for future evaluation.
