Hot End Fans

Hello,

I’m asking for help. I decided to replace the hot end fans in my J1 printer. The replacement went well.

I connected the cables to the same sockets as the factory fan: red to +, black to -. However, I forgot to check whether the factory fans are operating correctly. Are they supposed to blow air onto the heatsink (option A) or extract warm air from it (option B).

I’m asking for help from other users of this printer or administrators associated with the company (if they could find out from the service center what’s correct).

After my installation and recalibration, I have the impression that the fans are pulling air from the heatsink (B). Unfortunately, both the factory fans and the new ones I purchased lack arrows indicating airflow during operation.

My Original blows in (Option A), but the direction isn’t that important. As long as it’s moving air through the heat sink, you’ll be fine.
