Hello Snapmaker team.
Would it be possible to get an official update on the status of the 8W laser module?
Last we heard from you was this module was to be ready by the end of 2020 but no news has been published yet.
We are at the point where quite a few new hi power laser cutters/engravers are coming out from different brands and even new kickstarter projects like “laserpecker” coming out with these powerful laser modules and us Snapmaker owners are left in the dark.
Just having the 1600mw laser available limits us soooo much on the materials we have available to use…

They’d have to actually have a presence on here to answer your question.
Announcements come on email and then FB.
They finally released rotary module and stop button so at least those two are out of the way.

Why take the time to post on the forum where people are actually trying to work together to fix this hot mess when you could just spam out some emails or fb posts.

I do believe they have a presence on the forum. It’s hosted by them and there’s no better source of information on how their products are performing.
@Frankg I think you misread his comment. He wasn’t attacking you. It was directed at SM staff. He was being sarcastic about the lack of participation by them on this forum.
One would think that they’d be present here but they are unfortunately conspicuously absent. But thanks to a good group of very helpful people this is still a very good place to find help and advice. And you will find when you’ve been on here for any length of time that @MooseJuice is one of the most active and helpful. Where most of us will be quick to point lazy questions to the search bar, he’ll actually take the time to answer.

High power laser including other addons are on our internal roadmap, and they will be in development soon
