I would like to add a couple more requests for future firmware considereations please:
- PID tuning - the extruders tend to overshoot target temp significantly. This slows tool change as the machine waits for the temp to fall back down to the target temp before commencing.
- E-Step calibration - has been mentioned before.
- Temp adjustment mid-print - the machine reverts to temp in GCode following a tool change, thus eliminating the adjustment that was made on the fly.
- Nozzle size override - i would also like to be able to switch nozzle sizes without changing the entire extruder. Being able to manually enter the nozzle size for each extruder would be helpful.
I would also like to upvote the suggestion elsewhere in the forum that the calibration be able to handle nozzles of varying diameter, as not all MK8 nozzles are the same diameter.
