Foam inserts - laser or CNC cut?

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has milled or laser cut custom shapes into foam. I’d like to use this for tool box inserts etc.
If so, what is the maximum depth?

I would suggest using the cnc. The depth depends on your bit.
