Fine tune work origin laser module

Hi,

Just getting started with my laser module.
After some initial problems with the camera calibration, I’m now trying to fine tune the working origin.
Inside Luban 3.12.3 there is a option to fine tune the work origin:

Under number 3

Now, when I generate and load the G-code, it will always go to X,Y = 0,0.
That basically is outside my piece of wood board.
I can set the work origin etc, but this G-code does not take this into account.

Help !
Did anyone use this feature ?
How did you get this done ?

Maybe I’m just not using it properly, but my guess is just another annoying bug in the software ???

Looks like you’re using the guide for the original snapmaker.
Which SM do you have?
This section of the forum is for SM 2.0

I think the problem is an outdated help. I have this same help pop-up in my Luban (last stable version) with SM2.

Thanks for your answers guys.

I have a SM 2.0.
So, not applicable to my device ?
The help in stoftware is not up to date ?
Since the instructions are already minimal, we do relay on proper help in the software snapmaker !

The method works although the instructions are somewhat weird.
Although they talk about work origin, this fine tune is basically a z origin adjustment, that is laser focus fine tune.
I ran it several times. I do not remember well, but in my test I selected the work origin with z=20 (do not remember exactly, 20 is an example) and I ran the procedure and got the 11 squares. Then I moved the origin to another position in my plywood, with z=22, and ran it again. I did it thrice to cover z in the range 20-24 with no problem (this range was a bad idea because it produces many redundant - same z - squares. On the positive, it gave me replicates to evaluate).
In summary, the procedure works for the 250 machine. Just try it, I was also a bit puzzled when I did it.
