Filament Types and import

Why do I see in SM Orca Snapmaker filaments only and no other brands as shown in GitHub?Regardless revision.

Why can I not import filament bundles from original Orca Slicer?

Would help to know what version you are using…

@nweolu

Snapmaker Orca 2.1.1

Orca Slicer 2.3.1

I have the exact same problem. I had Snapmaker Orca version 1.2.1 installed, then updated to 2.1.1.
I also have the latest OrcaSlicer version 2.3.1 installed.
I was hoping for ready-made presets for Polymaker filament after the update, but they’re not listed here.

I have the same question and also an issue with importing Filament Profiles.

You can import custom material profiles .JSON or zip files using Files→ Import → Configs
If you have a JSON it will import it. It works but it does not work with all printers. I cannot assign it to all of my Snapmakers (A350, J1S, U1). I can assign imported profiles to the U1 but the other 2 machines are not showing up as assignable. What am I missing.

If you import a profile it shows up in the custom filaments list.

Anyone been able to get past this or is it my install has an issue? Below are screen shots from Snap-Orca and Native Orca.
Native Orca will allow you to assign the filament profile to all of my installed printers but Snapmaker Orca only allows this on the U1.

Same problem. Especially exasperating as Polymaker just dropped a ton (all?) of their filaments in custom presets specifically for ORCA Snapmaker.

UPDATE: I just had a head-slap moment. This is actually straightforward. Don’t know why I didn’t see it earlier. File/Import/Config… select your configuration files and import. Works for JASON files that Polymaker provides. I didn’t try it for anyone else’s filament. Full disclosure, I have not tested these yet, but all seems well.
