Snapmaker orca 2.2.4 machine filament is not showing

When I use a spool of a other brand (eq Polymaker) and the machine is coupled to snapmaker Orca, these filaments are not listed in the machine filament list; spool 2 and 3 are loaded with Polymaker Polyterra.

You have FW 1.1.1 installed on the printer ?

One can only guess which printer…

I’m on FW 1.1.1 and SO 2.2.4 and it still doesn’t show Polymaker in my SnOrca list… Please correct me if I’m wrong, but it appears to have zero to do with the Firmware of the U1 and everything to do with SO. When I look at System Filaments in SO the Vendor list is:

All | Generic | Snapmaker

Yet, when you go to Devices in SO it does show that the U1 reads it as Polymaker. Therefore, my conclusion is that the U1 is retaining and passing on that info, but SnOrca is only showing it from the Device side and not incorporating at all

Good point. I am on MacOS. when I go into the User/library/Snapmaker_Orca folder, I cn see that all of the makers of filament, which are listed in the realOrca are also listed here (see my screener), so why don’t they show up in the selection shown in the slicer UI ?

Because Snapmaker don’t want them to?

Don’t think so. If I am not mistaken I blve I have seen them in the UI in an earlier version of Snorca. May be we get somer info from Snapmaker during the week.

Great find :sign_of_the_horns::sign_of_the_horns: Hopefully an answer comes soon!

Snapmaker has already Partnered with Polymaker on the Dryer so it is highly unlikely they are hiding things. Especially when Snapmaker knows how large the market is and how many users successfully print with a wide range of Brands and Materials.

Came here to report this and good to know that I’m not the only person that has encountered this issue with the latest version of SO and fw 1.1.1.

However, my problem is it’s not even showing the machine filaments (Snapmaker branded) now…

Double check ‘Set filaments to use’
