Engraving Color coated Stainless steel Bottle

Hi Everyone,

i have a Snapmaker 2.0 350 with Enclosure and rotary modul.

Engraving wood was no Problem for me and i also understand what “fill and on the way” do. But now i have a Problem:

I have seen alot of pictures where someone engraved color coated stainless steel bottles. When i use “on the way” and use 6 time rerun the outline is very well engraved but the infill could not be run more then 1 time so the laser is not strong enough to do it well.

Has anyone ideas what setting i could use to get the the “fill” option to work on this project?

Thx alot Mathias

Run it multiple times. Usually with anything painted (or dry moly lube) I run it twice.
Not sure why they removed that option from fill in Luban.
Hopefully they’ll put it back.
Also make sure you’re running 100% power and maybe slow down.

You mean i should run it multiple times manually before putting it out of the machine?
But i cant see when it will be good

If i have put it out 1 time i cant run it again…

I also dont know why i cant run fill multiple times…

Thx 4 your advise

Yes. Run manually. Save your work origin info (I take a picture on my phone) since it won’t save it like it does for cnc.

You’ll have to figure out if you can see it good enough.

Wiping with acetone will remove any residue left and leave bare steel. (Usually it won’t affect the paint, but you’ll have to do tests to make sure).
