This may be a more of a file editing question but: how do you truly erase the background of a PNG? I’ve used PowerPoint to remove the background, but as you can see Luban is still “seeing” a background. This is an issue because the router cuts a square around the eagle even though Luban does not show this as a toolpath.
You really need to use a graphics editing programs and set the background to transparent.

Judging fomr this thread: Luban/CNC dont show transparent image - #6 by Davor it seems that Luban does not handle transparent PNG backgrounds correcty (only inferring, did not test). But embedding the PNG into a SVG seems to do the trick.
Which editing program would you recommend?
I use Photoshop, Paint shop or Gimp, depending on what I am doing and where. Converting it to an SVG might be best too though, depending on the image and what you are doing with it. Inkscape is good for SVGs, although save as "plain SVG, not Inkscape SVG.
It’s also great for converting BMPs to SVGs.
