Dual extruder not feeding either print-head

Yesterday I ran into two separate problems which have blocked my ability to print anything at all.

Issue 1: I swapped out the laser unit for my single-extruder print head. I turned the machine on, and it did a strange power cycling - it would start up for about five seconds, then shut down, then start up again. It did this about four times, and then there was a loud POP and smoke started pouring out of my print head. After everything cooled down I started everything back up again, and as expected, the print head was unresponsive. It appears to be shot. So…

Issue 2: I had my dual-extruder print head, unopened, because I’d not had the opportunity to use it yet. This seemed like a good time to try it out since my single-extruder was toast. I installed it per the instructions. It did the calibrations. However, neither extruder will load filament. The teeth don’t move at all. Everything is locked properly in place inside the unit. There is just no motion or even a thought of motion from either set of gears that would pull the filament down. I have filed a support ticket, but perhaps someone here knows what’s going on.

I guess you inserted the connector the wrong way into the 3dp head and broke your 3dp head and controller.

You have to be guided by support, hopefully you get your replacement fast.
