Door Switch Resume Behavior

Okay, so part of this is, “Why would you do that? That’s dumb…do it the right way” and part of it is, “This is a bug and should be fixed”

I often have to pause the job for laser engraving on leather to maintain the proper moisture level of the leather (literally spraying it with a water bottle). I have been doing this by letting the toolhead move to the furthest left position and then pausing the print to allow the most room to spray the leather. I stupidly opened the enclosure door once before pausing the print and noticed that it paused it automatically. I thought this was a shortcut for me, since I typically have to press pause and then confirm it before it stops. I started using this “shortcut” out of convenience, until today. If I have a long travel distance where the laser is supposed to be turned off and open the door, the job does pause, but when it’s resumed the laser is turned back on (drawing a line across the work surface). Obviously I’m going to go back to using the pause method, but this is definitely a bug. I’ve noticed that the toolhead won’t stop immediately when I hit pause on one of these long travel runs, but stops when it hits it’s next instruction (door switch is instant).

This could also apply to CNC, but I guess it would only happen if it was supposed to travel without the spindle being on.
