Please share your reasons for using or not using it, along with any challenges you encounter.
I’m currently not using it, having good results with Cura or Prusa Slicer - but the main reason may be my ignorance - what exactly sets Orca Slicer apart from the others?
I have just started using Orca. I want to do things that are not possible with Luban. From what I have read, Orca seems to be on a better track with the wants and needs of the printing community then Cura or Prusa. Though admittedly, they both are excellent and are way more advanced than Luban.
#1) Direct uploading via WiFi, instead of having to export the file and then transfer it to the machine via Luban/USB.
#2) Change Snapmaker firmware to accept the use of more common thumbnail formats like the ones Orca creates.
#3) A webUI for machine control via web browser and Orca’s “Device” tab.
Not related to Orca, but I would also like to see the firmware updated to allow the user to calibrate PID tuning for the bed and hotend (Marlin G-code M301, 303, and 304), and skew compensation (Marlin G-code M852).
