Deleting and renaming uploads on U1

Maybe I’m just missing something, but I don’t understand why I can find no way to delete uploaded GCODE files from my U1, nor can I figure why there aren’t people in here complaining about that.

I’m a designer. I prototype things and make test prints. 80% of what I print, I don’t need to keep in the machine. But when I get a final version of something – or a few variants of the final version – then yes I would like to leave that in there so I can print another one by selecting it from the console. But I don’t know it’s the final version until after I’ve tested the print, and how am I supposed to know which one I need when there are half a dozen similarly named versions that I never ever need to print again? I have to scroll back and back and guess and there’s also the consideration that eventually I’ll run out of storage.

Is there some secret chord or something to activate the file management function of the printer?

Google found it…

ANSWER: I’m told this is possible to do on the console by a long-press on the file to bring up a special menu, but we’re talking hundreds of files here.

The FLUIDD web UI is already available on the printer. You can access it by typing the printer’s IP address in the URL field of a web browser. To learn the IP address, which in most cases will begin 192.168, you can use your router’s web interface or use the setup screens of the U1 to look at its WiFi settings, where the address should be shown.

Once in FLUIDD, go to Jobs (page icon) and select the files you want to delete. When you start selecting files, a trash icon will appear.

It’s advisable to use the router’s administrative user interface to give the U1` printer a static IP address, so that you can bookmark the address in your browser and not have to look it up every time.

THIS SHOULD BE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT ACCOMPANY THE PRODUCT!
