Default settings

Although I’ve owned my Snapmaker for more than 1.5 years, I’ve always 3D printed using the default “Fast, Normal, High” quality settings. THEN there was something where I needed to make the object stronger therefore I changed wall thickness, infill, etc. UNFORTUNATELY, I didn’t realize that the default settings would be written over. (I didn’t make a clone then change settings and save). Can anyone please tell me where I can find the parameters for default settings?

Huh. Luban used to not allow you to change the default profiles. You’d have to copy them, then change the copy.

It does allow it now, but it tracks the changes. You can revert the entire profile by clicking the “Undo” button in settings:

If you want to be a bit more fine grained, it’s also tracked per parameter, so you can see what you changed (even if you can’t see the original value). Just go param by param, remember the current value, and revert to see what the default is.

Thank you for info. Does the undo button still show up after you’ve closed the program then restarted it? In other words, can I know if a setting I changed 2 weeks ago will still go back to default with an undo button? (i.e. only function while still using program or time limited??)

(God I feel dumb… but just think of how smart I think YOU are!!

Hi nm8r,

I recently ran into the same issue as yours. So thanks a lot for your post. It solved my issue.
Perhaps you’ve already got your second question answered but just to let you know, in Luban the changed "undo’ into ‘reset’. In my opinion that’s a better, precise term for the solution it offers. In. my case it actualy reset it all into the default settings.
