Color Filament not Working

I tried using 1.75mm PLA color filament but it seems as if it will not melt and come out the nozzle. If I remove the color and put in the white that came with the snapmaker everything works fine. Any suggestions?

What is your hot end temperature, and what is the recommended temperature for that filament?
When the filament loads, does it extrude some?

I’m assuming you’re using a v2. The filament loading process is different between v1 and v2.

The table temp is 60 degrees Celsius and the filament is set at 200 celsius. I’m using the original snapmaker 3 in 1.

Ok I got my blue filament to work with no problem. I’ll try the orange again tomorrow.

With the original, just push the filament through while loading. If filament doesn’t come out of the hot end, you probably don’t have it loaded properly.

It’s kinda tricky to do right, particularly while keeping that button depressed. I found that I wasn’t straightening the filament enough. I need to straighten out the filament going into the 3D print module, plus another ~5cm more where I hold the filament. Sometimes I even have to make the filament curve in the opposite direction slightly, away from the spool, to get it loaded.

Thanks Clewis, I got it to work yesterday. I cut the tip clean and started again and it printed. Thanks for your help.
